SO ILL SHOWDOWN

The So iLL Showdown is back with a vengeance! Each year, competitors from coast to coast travel to Climb So iLL in order to battle it out for cold hard cash. The top three women and top three men in each division are guaranteed to get geared out by our sponsors.

Format

Competitors are divided based on ability and compete in one of the following divisions.

Recreational

Participants competing at the Recreational level should climb between V0 & V2.

Intermediate

Participants competing at the Intermediate level should climb between V3 & V4.

Advanced

Participants competing at the Advanced level should climb between V5 & V7.

Open

Participants competing at the Open level should climb at V8 and above.

Recreational

Participants competing at the Recreational level should climb between V0 & V2.

Intermediate

Participants competing at the Intermediate level should climb between V3 & V4.

Advanced

Participants competing at the Advanced level should climb between V5 & V7.

Open

Participants competing at the Open level should climb at V8 and above.

Round One: Redpoint

  • Competitors are assigned a block of time during which they are allowed to climb.
  • Scores are determined by each competitor’s top five ascents.
  • A detailed schedule is announced approximately one week prior to the competition.

Round Two: Showdown

  • The top six male and top six female scores continue on to the Showdown.
  • These scores are based on the top five boulder problems that were successfully completed and recorded on the competitor’s score sheet during the Redpoint round.
  • Details regarding the Showdown are announced the evening of the competition.

Point Chaser

Individuals who register for the Point Chaser category will compete for the highest total score. These scores are based on the total number of points received for all boulder problems completed and recorded on the competitor’s score sheet.

Competitors are assigned a block of time during which they are allowed to climb.

Scores are determined by each competitor’s top five ascents.

A detailed schedule is announced approximately one week prior to the competition.

Prizes

The top three women and top three men will each take home a share of the $4000 cash purse. All remaining Showdown finalists will have their registration fee reimbursed. The top three competitors in the Recreational, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions will be awarded products from our sponsors.

Overflow Timeslot

Due to an overwhelming response, we are offering an overflow time slot for competitors who were unable to register for Recreational, Intermediate, or Advanced. Register to climb on Friday, March 24th at 4:00 pm.

Early Registration

Early registration for the 2017 Showdown is officially closed. The field for this year's competition is stacking up. The 2017 t-shirt, stainless steel pint cup, and tote bag will be available for purchase at the competition.
