Part competition, part live show, the Showdown is the Midwest’s most anticipated climbing event. Test your skills in the Citizens Competition, competing for prizes against other climbers at your skill level. Top competitors from the Showdown Qualifier will battle for a cash purse and bragging rights as the next So iLL Showdown champion.

CITIZEN’S COMPETITION | April 26th

  • This part of the competition is open to all climbers.
  • Don’t see the right category? Choose one that best aligns with your ability.
  • Compete for prizes against climbers at the same skill level.
  • Scores are determined by each climber’s top five ascents.
  • Choose your climbing time during registration.
  • You will be emailed a schedule one week before the competition.

Showdown Qualifiers | April 25th

  • The top six women and top six men from the Showdown Qualifiers will advance to the Showdown Finals on Saturday evening where they will compete for a share of the cash purse.
  • You must register and compete in the Qualifiers on Friday, April 25 to qualify for the Finals.
  • Finalists are selected by their top five ascents recorded during the Qualifiers.
  • Finalists will be notified by phone if they have qualified for the Finals.

Prizes

The top three women and top three men from the Showdown Finals will take home a share of the cash purse. The top three competitors in the Recreational, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions of the Citizen’s Competition will win prizes from our sponsors.
